Do you ever wonder what kinds of products beauty experts use for their own complexions?
Well, wonder no more because Doe Deere is sharing her morning routine, thanks to an interview with SavoirFlair.
The purple-haired lovely, Doe Deere, is the CEO and founder of the Lime Crime makeup brand. It was an e-commerce business launched in 2008 and features edgy, bold, sexy cosmetics. The Russian-born entrepreneur now lives in Los Angeles and enjoys waking up to her two gorgeous Persian felines, Puffy Fluffles and Chester von Battingham.
Doe Deere does a yoga stretch and drinks a whole glass of water upon arising. She finds the L.A. air to be quite drying, so drinking up the good stuff is beneficial.
She washes her face and neck with a facial wash by Glossier. It’s rose-scented and mild to her complexion. Then she adds Murad’s Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence to further seal in some moisture.
Doe Deere believes in evening up her skin tone with a liquid foundation. She likes either L’Oreal’s True Match or MAC’s Studio Fix because these foundations create a smooth texture and appearance and also protect her skin from the elements. Then she sets her face with powder.
By the way, if you’re a Lime Crime obsessed fan, then get ready for a Lime Crime foundation. It’s in the works, and Doe Deere is busy collaborating with the experts to develop the ideal foundation.
Doe Deere’s two favorite makeup items are blush and lipstick which always add warmth to a woman’s face. She prefers her cheeks to wear a pink or reddish shade, and her lipsticks are bold and classy in a modern way.
There are three lippies from her famous Velvetines line that she wears again and again. These include Rustic Red, Pink Velvet and Red Velvet. You can see these quality pigments at Lime Crime’s shopping site.
The beauty in the Velvetines collection is not only in the luscious pigments but in the liquid matte consistency. These lipsticks dry to a soft and velvety touch and won’t rub off or disappear until you remove them at night. You can even make out in your Velvetines lipstick, and no one will be any the wiser.
It takes Doe Deere 15 minutes to complete her face or up to one hour. It depends on the situation and whom she might want to impress with her brand.
